1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy is issued by SaloneNest LLC ("SaloneNest," "we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in the United States with its principal place of business at 1816 Metzerott Rd, Adelphi, MD 20783. It describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information across:
- this corporate website (salonenest.org); and
- the mobile and web applications we design, build, and operate, including SaloneNest, MunchFleet, Muje4Biz, and SafeNest / SN4Biz (collectively, our "Applications").
Some of our Applications publish their own in-app or product-specific privacy notice covering features unique to that product (for example, delivery location-sharing in MunchFleet, or lease documents in SaloneNest). Where a product-specific notice exists, it supplements — and does not replace — this Policy, which serves as the baseline privacy commitment for SaloneNest LLC as a company across everything we operate.
2. Information We Collect
On this website
- Contact form submissions — name, email address, subject, and message content you choose to send us.
- Basic technical data collected automatically by standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring page).
Across our Applications
Depending on which Application you use and the features you engage with, we may collect:
- Account information — name, phone number, email address, and a securely hashed password.
- Identity verification data — for Applications that require it (for example, verifying a driver or a landlord), we may collect a government- issued ID, driver's licence, or equivalent document, and — where legally required for a role such as a delivery driver — a police clearance certificate.
- Location data — for delivery, dispatch, or mapping features, collected only while the relevant feature is in active use, with your device's permission.
- Payment and transaction data — order history, wallet balances, and payment method identifiers. We do not store full payment card numbers; payments are processed through licensed third-party payment processors.
- Photos and media — profile photos, property or product images, and short video uploads you choose to submit, via your device's camera or photo library.
- Communications — messages sent through in-app messaging between users (e.g., landlord–tenant, buyer–seller, customer–driver).
- Device and usage data — device type, operating system, app version, and general usage analytics.
3. How We Use Information
- To create and secure your account and authenticate you at sign-in.
- To operate the core features of each Application (listings, orders, delivery dispatch, leases, messaging, payments).
- To verify identity and eligibility where required by law or by the nature of the service (for example, driver background checks).
- To communicate with you about your account, transactions, or support requests.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To comply with applicable law, including financial recordkeeping obligations.
- To improve and maintain the reliability of our Applications.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your identity documents or payment data for advertising purposes.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contractual necessity — to provide the Application features you request.
- Legal obligation — for identity verification, financial recordkeeping, and law-enforcement cooperation where required.
- Legitimate interests — to secure our systems, prevent fraud, and improve our services, balanced against your rights.
- Consent — where we rely on consent (for example, certain device permissions), you may withdraw it at any time through your device settings.
5. Sharing & Disclosure
We share personal information only in the following circumstances:
- With other users, as intended by the feature — e.g., a tenant's contact appears to their landlord; a driver's live location appears to the customer they are delivering to.
- Service providers — infrastructure hosting, cloud database, SMS verification, and payment processing providers who process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations, solely to provide the service.
- Legal and safety reasons — where required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SaloneNest LLC, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection under a policy at least as protective as this one.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share identity documents or police clearance certificates with any party other than the verification process itself and, where legally compelled, law enforcement or regulators.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our Applications. Financial transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and financial recordkeeping law. Identity and background-check documents are retained for as long as required to demonstrate ongoing verification and legal compliance, after which they are deleted or anonymized. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to the retention exceptions described above.
7. Data Security
We use encrypted document storage, salted and hashed password storage (PBKDF2 with a high iteration count), signed session tokens, and rate-limited authentication endpoints to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we continuously work to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
8. Your Rights (GDPR / EEA & UK Residents)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Request erasure of your personal information;
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Receive your data in a portable format;
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14.
9. Your Rights (CCPA / CPRA — California Residents)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you and how it is used;
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA;
- Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We will verify your request using the information associated with your account before fulfilling it.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Applications are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16, where a higher threshold applies under local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Several of our Applications, including driver, vendor, and landlord roles, additionally require users to be 18 or older. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.
11. International Data Transfers
SaloneNest LLC is based in the United States, and our infrastructure providers may process and store data in the United States or other countries. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
12. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
This website uses only essential cookies or local storage required for basic site functionality (for example, remembering your navigation menu state). We do not currently use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this corporate website. Our Applications may use local device storage to keep you signed in and to store app preferences.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and, for material changes, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
